Description
One of two meads produced for the band Nebala, Gunlathu is named after the giantess who guarded the mead of poetry, and who traded Odin three nights for three drinks of the mead. Brewed with elderflower, Gunlathu is a sweet and delicate mead that sits lightly on the tongue, imparting floral and nectar notes. Pleasant served cool or in a chilled glass.
Meads from the Afon Mêl bee farm and meadery are sweet, complex meads with flavour profiles comparable to sherry or port. The meads are matured in the vats for roughly 2 years, which gives the flavours and aromas plenty of time to blend and develop. This also adds sherry-like notes to the aftertaste, which can linger for a while afterwards. Best enjoyed in small sherry glasses or snifters.
Contains: Water, Wildflower Honey, Yeast, Elderflower
