Description

The Raspberry mead is upfront and quite intense. Sweet and slightly tart, it delivers a lot of taste right away, and is absolutely one to sip and savour. As the fruit flavour fades out along with hints of honey, the acidity from the raspberries lingers on, giving a surprisingly strong “buzz” in the cheeks.

Meads from the Afon Mêl bee farm and meadery are sweet, complex meads with flavour profiles comparable to sherry or port. The meads are matured in the vats for roughly 2 years, which gives the flavours and aromas plenty of time to blend and develop. This also adds sherry-like notes to the aftertaste, which can linger for a while afterwards. Best enjoyed in small sherry glasses or snifters.
