Description
One of two meads produced for the band Nebala, Wothurithaz refers to the male with a nod to Odin, who spent three nights with the giantess Gunloth in return for three drinks of the mead of poetry. Brewed with elderberries, this mead is thick and has a generous body to it. Thick berry notes and a hint of sourness balance the sweetness, and the flavour fades on the tongue into a gentle dryness. Serve in small glasses in warm and intimate settings.
Meads from the Afon Mêl bee farm and meadery are sweet, complex meads with flavour profiles comparable to sherry or port. The meads are matured in the vats for roughly 2 years, which gives the flavours and aromas plenty of time to blend and develop. This also adds sherry-like notes to the aftertaste, which can linger for a while afterwards. Best enjoyed in small sherry glasses or snifters.
Contains: Water, Wildflower Honey, Yeast, Elderberry
