Description

Summerisle is a light ‘metheglin’ or spiced mead made by fermenting meadow honey with lemon, bay leaves and cardamom. Fresh and aromatic, the flavour starts with a bright and sweet lemon note that transitions seamlessly into a smooth and lingering scent of cardamom. The intense and vibrant flavours make it a perfect choice to serve chilled on a warm summer’s day. Only heathens dilute their meads with tonics and other mixers, but given the inspiration for this mead, that may be considered rather appropriate.

Apothecary Mead is a very small mead producer based in Nottinghamshire. All of their meads are made in very small batches using British honey, and their fondness for eldritch styles is only exceeded by their skill in concocting elaborate and complex flavours.
