Description
Intended as a homage to a mythical spellcaster of old and presented in a stunning potion bottle, The Morrigan is a dark cherry melomel spiced with bay leaves, stem ginger, star anise and hibiscus flowers. Starting with a full-bodied cherry note, the spices soon make themselves felt with a warm herbal note that eventually fades into a lingering note of anise. This mead is excellent at room temperature for sipping as a post-meal digestif, but can also be served hot or cold as a winter warmer or summer refreshment respectively.
Apothecary Mead is a very small mead producer based in Nottinghamshire. All of their meads are made in very small batches using British honey, and their fondness for eldritch styles is only exceeded by their skill in concocting elaborate and complex flavours.
