Kvasir’s Blood is a cherry mead, but like the wise Kvasir of Norse mythology, there is more to this mead than meets the eye. Brewed with a medley of spices, herbs and fruits and matured over cherry wood, this is no simple, sweet concoction.
The flavour starts off quite intensely with the sourness of the cherries, but that sourness gradually fades and lets the full fruity flavour bloom in the mouth along with a range of herby notes. While there is a little sweetness, the honey mostly serves to take the edge off the sourness before fading out into faint woody tannins and a hint of spice and vanilla.

Best split into two wine glasses and sipped slowly. Great for anyone who wants a fruity wine that sits somewhere between a light port and a sweet red.

Playful and inquisitive, their range stretches from tried and tested classics to experimental insanity, all sealed beneath fun and colourful labels. Using locally sourced honey and ingredients, their meads have clean, bold flavours without being excessively sweet.
