Oakbeard’s Treasure is a traditional wildflower honey mead that has been aged over French oak. The result is a smooth mead that is no less interesting for its simplicity. With a mild aroma of wood and honey, this treasure chest of a mead opens up to yield a gentle honey sweetness, fresh woody tannins, and a hint of vanilla. An easy sipper, this mead is probably still best enjoyed in a goblet rather than a tankard.

Arcane Alchemist is a (very) small Hampshire meadery that sprang out of the 2020 lockdowns. Playful and inquisitive, their range stretches from tried and tested classics to experimental insanity, all sealed beneath fun and colourful labels. Using locally sourced honey and ingredients, their meads have clean, bold flavours without being excessively sweet.
